Bloccit

Bloccit is a Reddit clone, and was the first app I built in Ruby on Rails in the Bloc Full-Stack curriculum. My role in this project was a developer. Bloccit allows users to create, edit, and delete posts and comments, as well as up-vote or down-vote them.

Users can also create profiles/avatars.

Admin, Moderator, and User roles were created with pundit, and authentication is handled via Devise.

This was a project within the Bloc curriculum.

Technologies used in this project were, Ruby On Rails, Bootstrap, Devise, Carrierwave, Amazon Web Services, Fog, Puma, Figaro, Faker, and Heroku.

Bloc Jams

Bloc Jams is a basic music streaming app. My role in this project was a developer. Users have the ability to view the preloaded albums within the app, and play each song.

Along with the ability to play and pause individual songs, users can seek through songs by dragging the progress bar, and adjust volume by dragging the volume bar.

Bloc Jams is responsive, and can be viewed on all devices.

This was a project within the Bloc curriculum.

The project was originally created in javascript/jQuery, and I converted it to AngularJS.

Some technologies used in this project were AngularJS and the Buzz Javascript HTML5 Audio library.

My role in this project was co-founder and wordpress developer. I provided the creative direction for the project and created the site through WordPress. I also created the copy for Helyx.

I worked with a designer who provided the images and icons for the site.
